An Introduction To Bible Art Journaling

Class Instructor: Kelsey Castro

Class Fee: $42.00

Time: 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Register in-store, by phone 587-620-6305 or online

Class Description: This is an introductory class with Kelsey Castro on Bible Art Journaling. Kelsey teaches mixed media art journaling techniques that are 'safe' for the thin pages of Bible paper, in the hopes that it will inspire, encourage, and equip women to grow in their walk with Jesus, by CREATIVELY spending time in the Word! If you have ever struggled to connect with your Bible in your study time, if you have ever forced yourself to sit and read the Word because you've been told you should, or if you have ever found Bible study to be dry and dull - this class is for you. Connecting with your faith creatively just might be a game changer! We walk through tons of tried and tested tips, techniques, and supplies so you don't have to be afraid of 'wrecking' your Bible as you explore it with an artistic lens. You will leave with some great starter supplies and most importantly; some newfound excitement to creatively express your walk with God.

Students Should Bring: A Bible or an Art Journaling Bible, any favourite supplies like stencils, stamps, inks, paints, gesso, paint brushes, any permanent or archival black ink pad

A Little Bit About Kelsey: Kelsey has more than four years of Bible Journaling experience, and a decade of mixed media experience. She stumbled across Bible Journaling after getting married in 2015 while looking for just about ANYTHING to help her open her Bible and get in the Word.

"Documenting my faith journey through art has created a complete 180 degree change in my relationship with God and helped me grow tremendously as an artist."She launched Bibles & Art in 2018 to share with others the change that she had experienced and help furnish them with basic skills, ideas and encouragement, thus overcoming the “fear of failure" some experience. She currently is found in St. Albert, AB where she resides with her wonderfully goofy Mexican husband. When she isn't creating in her Bible or teaching workshops, they like to go on wild adventures out in the west country, where she's from in small-town-Alberta, and spend time creating memories with family and friends
